Samsung Health is a fitness app from Samsung available on mobile phones and watches.
It’s one of those apps with lots of options. On the front, it tracks your steps and sleep. You can track over 100 exercises and manually insert data for the same exercises and many health activities.
With the Strava app, you can track the following activities:

Auto activity tracking
Strava does not track anything automatically. You must start the activity to let it follow. Samsung Health automatically tracks your steps and calculates the calorie data.
There are a few differences in how both track your walking data. Strava does not count your steps as it focuses more on the distance and moving time. Here is what information Strava shows:

Samsung Health, on the other hand, gives your the following data about your walking activity:

- Lowest elevation
- Highest elevation
- Workout calories
- Total calories
- Average speed
- Maximum speed
- Average pace
- Maximum pace
- Total ascent
- Current vs. past workout data
- Images (if you upload)
- Notes (if you add any)
Step tracking accuracy
Both were accurate in terms of time, distance, speed, etc. The elevation part was slightly different, but looking at the data, I backed more Samsung Health.

Since Strava is primarily used as a fitness app, it does not track your sleep. However, some apps can be connected with Strava to calculate sleep timings and patterns.
Samsung Health uses the screen off time to calculate your sleeping time. For example, if you stop using your phone at 11 pm and then pick it up and use it at 7:30 am, the app will show those times.
You can record your data manually if you are unhappy with those hours.
Strava supports inviting friends to exercise together. You can add friends by entering their emails, importing from your contacts, and connecting your Facebook account.
Also, friends can be added to each workout to record their time. Strava comes with the public, followers, and only you options for your activities to share your exercise with the appropriate audience.
Moreover, Strava Clubs are communities of athletes that businesses can use to create local and global networks of athletes.
These clubs can create content, plan events, share a route, support campaigns, and more.
Athletes can participate in challenges on Strava that take place over a few days, a week, or a month.
Samsung Health contrarily has a screen called “Together” that allows you to exercise with your friends.
Simply go to the Together page, sync your contacts, and search for the friends you want to work out with.
Samsung Health hosts global challenges sometimes, which you can join from this section.
Strava mobile application is compatible with iOS and Android phones. It can be paired with GPS watches, smartwatches, and cycling machines.
Samsung Health is an app for Android, iOS, and Samsung watches. Some headsets, scales, and even TVs support this app.
